the real reason was because disney didnt want to offend the parents... he had to have a piece of cloth on him...always... else you know the tiny tots...they dont need a reason to throw away their clothes!!!
Well perhaps Donald Duck is too poor to afford Pants. He just has this one towel.. which he uses to wipe himself dry in morning. And after that he puts the towel out for drying! You surely don't want him to wear a wet towel and fall sick, would you ?
I can think of couple of reasons - One how do we know that he does not wera pants that are actually designed with feathers on them?
Or when wet - the feathers could stick together and expose him
and lastly - since most of the cartoons are watched by kids and they do emulate these characters - showing duck not wearing a towel after a bath will give the kids a point to argue wid parents -"he does it - y cant I"
he like any other civilized ducks out there is culture enough to use a towel after shower. I dunno bout the no pants thingy thought...maybe the dry feathers covers his watever under there har har har :D
