and in the car, i'd toss a pair of footwear! :)

n we'll be ALL-SET for an exciting experience!

Okay so after some thinking, I've started to make my list. Here goes:
- passport/other imp documents
- my external HDDs and CPU/laptop with cables
- cameras & cellphone with charger
- important CDs/DVDs
- any valuable jewelry that sits at home
- wallet/DL/cash/credit cards
- packed food/drinks for use on the way & can opener
- a few gallons of drinking water
- antibacterial
- clean clothes/towels/sweater/jackets
- first aid box
- a blanket/pillow/sleeping bag
I really hope you've gotten out of there now.

I am not going anywhere. So no one is taking me anywhere. I just took myself to a friend's apartment.
Cell phone, my bottle of rum, no need to mention the first-aid kit and an extra pair of clothes&toileteries coz its always there in my car.
I asked cos pucca apartment will perhaps stand the hurricane, while a scenic beautiful house of wood will be shattered like in the movie Twister.
Good for you. Now only downside is, you will have to rearrange the things still left intact after you move back. You had just finished setting them up :(

DVD player : we have the portable onw (with a screen) that can be battery-operated or charged in the car..so will take that along so we can watch movies

Hope you are doing OK now. We had power outage just for few hours and didn't have water since satruday morning. I think we are far better off the trouble compared to the destruction it caused in Galveston.
