You know how someone says, "Don't worry. Everything will be fine." when you are going nuts about something?
How do they know?

it's one of the truest cliches. it's universally true. for all - people & situations.
I dont know they know or not... and its not important, but for me, they want to convey that they are around. They want to give me some confidence and they want to c me smile!!!
Isnt that great n gud enugh!!!
:)
Cheers!!!
They are a bunch of smartass! Who know it'll be fine. Coz it happened with THEM.
Because we all know that good times follows bad and vice versa.
They know 'coz eventually everything will be fine!Like Ray-Ray said, its the universal truth applicable to anything n everything!
They dont know anything. Its just that they care for you and want you to feel better.
lol.. its tht person's way of telling you "Dont worry everything will be fine, and IF NOT, you always have me by your side, to make it up to you"
Cheers
Samy
I guess nobody except the YOU involved knows how it will be - it just a "shot in the arm" kinda statement to make you feel better.
Also it can be seen as the faith this person has that you can do it...
and "everything will be fine" is an underlying theme of business of astrology....
I dun like it when ppl say that to me when the chips are down, but I say that to others when they're worrying hehe.
I guess its used to make us feel better, to give hope, to assure that somehow bad times will pass too. Cos happiness n sadness follow one another in life. So those who say that do know that this too shall pass.
you've just got to hang in there somehow..thats what it means.
Keshi.
may be becoz they had been in one
and may be they kno with the experience..every day is not the mayhem day :)
but I say becoz I feel if they had lost the hope..I shud be rekindling the hope...
jus that ..nuffin else
They tryin to cheer us up....cos they care for us or may be just for formality.
whatever may be but they shoudl be acknowledged for their caring..
and how r ur eggzams going ?
somethin for u at my blog...
Because everything being fine or 'not fine' is only a matter of perspective. They are helping you build the right perspective.
At the end of the day, if you really believe it, everything IS fine!
heheheh
this has many reasons...
some people believe in hope and want you to, too..
some people just dont know buit still say these magic words...
it's the best thing to say when they have to escape from providing a concrete solution...
p.s.
believe me if you start believing like them, it works wonders...
my dame's motto...
jo hua hai acche ke liye hua hai aur jo hoga acche ke liye hi hoga...
Ahhhh
as everything ends with "happy ending"....
agar nahi...
to picture abhi baki hain mere dost;-))
Actually thats the least ( and the only) thing that they can say!!
btw.. blog updated long back!!
because everybody knows that after every sunset, there certainly be a sun-rise soon ..
but it really helps....
Whether they know or not.. its generally true that a lot of things can get smoothened out if one smoothens his/her thinking.. gets the wrinkles off the forehead and approaches the task with a cool and collected mind.. And saying all will b fine with a gentle touch/pat and a smile is the best way to do so.
They say "everyTHING" will be fine. Not every PERSON (including 'you').
THINGS are always fine. Its the tendency of persons to go nuts over things thinking they are not fine.
**Run! The philosopher in stupidosaur has woken up!**
They don't know. They just say it to make you feel better.
See we also do the same.. when we r in that position .. coz we don't have any thing else to say.. .
U can't say nothing goona fine..
And u can't come out saying nothing coz in this world words are considered to be only way to express u r feelings...
I too say these to my friends at times .... when there is nothing I can do to change the circumstances ... but by sayin this you try to give them a calming reassurance .... they know that you care. Actually its not these words but the genuinity with which they are said that works ... :)
Secondly, these words should be said only when one cant do anything to help .... if one can then he/she shud do that rather than pacifying with words :)
i used to say that to make ppl feel better. then i realised ppl want to feel better even if they know something bad is coming. so i usually tell them that life's shit, and to be thankful that they aren't in deeper shit, but to prepare themselves anyways because they never know when the shit's gonna hit the fan. i can't stop using cliches today. hmmm...
coz they have been thru the same shit sm time...or the other...
Coz it's a universal rule. People just tend to forget it when they're busy with the worrying and need to be reminded.
Who cares if they know or not :D Sure sounds good at the time. It makes more sense that those ridiculous fruit flavored stickers. There you know you can never eat them no matter what..but here there's some semblance of hope, no? ;)
he he thts generally said to pacify someone! V definitely cant say tht "dont worry thinks r goin to remain screwed up!" So this is the best possible way to make tht person feel better. :)
They don't know at all unless they have been through it, and different people handle different issues many different ways!!! Sooooooooo
They don't really know, They can just be there for you!!
Ne.
Well I guess sometimes it is the only thing someone else can say. They obviously can't know and it might be the farthest thing from the truth. It can get annoying but at the end of the day it's someone trying to console me or help me get control so I don't say anything.
But usually thats the way I feel things turn out so it wouldn't bother me as much.
They don't know, but they also don't see what you're seeing, don't feel what you're feeling.
@ Rayshma,
If only people remembered that in their times of distress...
@ Ankur,
It is important to me! I want to know how they know..and if they don't know then they should not tell me! :)
Ya..I know that is their way of consoling me.
@ Sutta,
My! Why so bitter?!
@ Anonymous,
Do they really? Each and every time?
@ Pavi,
I know of so many of my clients who are not fine and have suffered from years of anguish! I have seen too much sorrow to believe that.
@ Me-too,
Yup!!
@ Samy,
I have experienced that people only like saying things but do not really practice what they preach.
@ Ceedy,
Heheheh..that last sentence cracked me up!
@ Keshi,
Yeah but its so hard to believe them when they say it.
@ Day dreamer,
I dunno!! Its one thing to rekindle hope but another to give false hopes.
@ Ashu,
Ok...acknowledged but not believed...
@ Crimson,
Not true! For someone who just lost both parents in a car accident...if they are told, "everything will be fine"..it is quite hard for them to believe that!
It is truly not fine in the moment!
@ Humble,
That is my motto too but I still find it hard to believe in that moment when someone else says it to me!
@ Chakoli,
SRK ka dialogue mat bolo mere blog par pleaseeeeeeee!
@ Iceman,
WHAT! You are MEAN!
@ Rahul,
Yep logically speaking, you are right!
@ Soham,
What if you are blind because of what happened and unable to see the sunrise?
@ Anjuli,
Not me!
@ Nitin,
Two blogs posted within a span of a few hours. Therefore, comment count is low on this. :)
Thanks for your comment. It reminded me that I need to respond to people!
I hope they come back and read them!
@ Aneri,
Very right!
@ Deepali,
Yes. If everything does not turn out fine...then I get annoyed too!
@ Cinder
Sometimes they are not even there for you. They just say it and disappear!
@ Ria,
Hahahah! No thats not what I implied!
@ Macadamia,
I would rather that they offer me chocolate than say those words!
@ Bubbly,
Its not a universal rule. Just because we personally don't know people for who things never got better, we think that all's well!
@ D sinner,
Sometimes they have not and yet say it!
@ G-man,
Yeah that's more realistic I would say!
@ Hiren,
Agree with the second part of your comment. No point just pacifying. Some action needs to take place. Things just dont get alright on their own!
sorry...........
@ Nitin,
I would prefer that they buy me Mac and Cheese to show me that they care than use pacifying words which might hold no meaning.
@ D,
Correct! You echo my thoughts!
@ Stupidosaur,
Hahah!! I like the philosopher in you!
@ Vrij,
Maybe. But I never believe it when people tell me that.
@ Nitin,
Sorry? Kyon bhai?
